The Northern Region Football Association (NRFA) has organized a bonanza to prepare SIMSO League winners Chitipa United for the 2019 Super League campaign.
The competition is expected to be held in March.
According to NRFA Vice chairperson Felix Mbonekera Msiska, the bonanza will help Chitipa to scout some players from other teams.
“If things will not change the bonanza will be played on 5th March 2019 in Karonga or Chitipa and we think it’s an idea to give the promoted side a good start as they preparing to play in the Super League side as we did with Karonga
“Our plan is to call upon four teams from Super League – Mzuni, Moyale Karonga and Chitipa – and another four from Simso namely Bolero united, Baja city, Fish Eagles and Ekwendeni Hammers.
“This will allow Chitipa to spot some new talent to help them stay in the Super League,” said Msiska.
It is not yet known as to which Super League side will participate in the bonanza as both Mzuni and Moyale said they are not aware of the development.
Meanwhile, second vice president of Football Association of Malawi (FAM) Othaniel Hara has pledged K500,000 towards the bonanza.
