Davlin Chokazinga has confirmed of the news.

MBS director general Davlin Chokazinga said they have confiscated 17,000 litres of Black Punch that were to be delivered on the local market.

Chokazinga added that the uncertified Black Punch pose a “health risk” to people in Malawi.

He further appealed to the general public to stop consuming products that are not approved by MBS in the country.

Black Punch is processed by Global Kings Beverages Limited (Ltd).

MBS moved in to stop consumption of spirits that were deemed to likely endanger human life.

Government through MBS was noted not to give in to the manufactures of the spirits as the companies have been opposing the decisions of MBS through obtaining a court injunction.

Though MBS gave a strong warning to companies producing the spirits, the products are still on the market as many say they bring fun to liquor lovers in the country while others love them because they are cheap.
