Moyale Barracks have admitted that they will be lucky to win on Sunday as they will be hosting Silver Strikers in the topflight league.
The two are expected to meet at Mzuzu Stadium in a crucial TNM Super League encounter.
The Soldiers’ gaffer, Charles Kamanga, said they understand that it will not be easy for them to bag all three points considering the current form of the bankers.
However, he said all the arsenal for the Mzuzu based Malawi Defence Force (MDF) team is ready to do what it can to disappoint the visitors.
“It’s a team which has got high morale as recently it grabbed the Airtel Top 8 Cup and therefore will give us a tough time.
“Regardless of their condition we are more than ready and we hope to do better this coming Sunday,” he said.
Kamanga added by urging his club’s fans to flock to the venue in large numbers as his youthful players have promised not to disappoint.
“This is a new Moyale which has got a youthful squad, I am asking all the supporters that they should come and watch this match,” concluded Kamanga.
Last time the two sides met was earlier this year during the preparations for the 2017 season and in the encounter the bankers hammered the soldiers 5-2.
Silver Strikers will be in the northern region this weekend to fulfil two assignments as they are scheduled to take on relegation threatened side Chitipa United on Saturday at Mzuzu Stadium before meeting the soldiers the following day at the same venue.
Moyale are on position six with nine points while the bankers are 10th with five points on the league’s log table.
