There is worry among farmers in Mzimba district where a strange disease is reportedly attacking livestock.
Information made available to this publication show that the disease has already killed about seven cattle in Mzimba.
According to officials from the veterinary department, they are yet to establish the cause of the disease but have confirmed the death of several animals.
Livestock farmers in the area of Traditional Authority Mzikuwola in Mzimba have expressed fear that they may lose their animals if measures will not be put in place to end the disease.
Group village headman Chigadula Saka told our team that he has already lost several animals to the disease and he fears that he might lose more.
Meanwhile, authorities from the veterinary have warned people not to eat animals which have died from the disease as they are working to get more information about it.
