Meanwhile the Football Association of Malawi has awarded Luso Tv a provisional license that will expire on the 18th of December this year.

Fam competitions Manager Gomegzani Zaka Zaka said the Malawi FA will grant Luso Tv the full licence to go ahead with the competition once they have given them the Nissan Civilian bus that has been set for the two Blantyre giants to fight for.

Be Forward Wanderers vice chairman Gift Mkandawire and Nyasa Big Bullets General Secretary Kelvin Moyo all thanked Luso Tv for coming up with the initiative saying the two teams spend a lot on transport because they do not have own buses.

The two sides from Malawi’s commercial city have become regular cup opponents in the past few seasons, with the Nomads defeating their rivals in the 2015 Carlsberg cup last year.

Moreover, the Luso Tv bonanza will be the second cup final the two Blantyre giants will be battling it out in the past two years in two successive years.

The two sides also met in the final of the Luso Tv football Bonanza which was dubbed as the clash of the giants in 2013.

That year Nyasa Big Bullets beat the Nomads 4-3 on post-match penalties.

The other two teams that participated in the competition in 2013 were two Lilongwe Super League sides Epac fc and Silver Strikers.
