Gaba’s fine form continues in RSA: Sends Wits top

Malawi international Gabadinho Mhango helped Bid Vets Wits to move to the top of the ABSA Premiership table after he scored the only goal of the match when Wits was playing against Chippa United on Tuesday.

The former Nyasa Big Bullets man is maintaining his impressive form in South Africa, and he started the match on an impressive note as he had a cap of chances to open the score line in the early opening minutes of the first half.

The only notable chance for Mhango to help Wits from taking the lead come in the dying minutes of the match but he was denied by the Chippa United goal minder Daniel Akpeyi and the first half ended in  a goalless draw.

After the break both Wits and Chippa come in with fresh ideas as they were all in search for thje opener in the opening minutes of the first half.

9 minutes into the second half Bid Vits hard working spirit was paid off when the Malawi international headed in Elias Pelembe cross to make it 1 nil in favour of the clever boys and the match ended 1 nil in favour of Mhango’s side Bid Vits.

Speaking to supersport after being voted as man of the match Mhango acknowledged it to his team mates.

“We worked us a team and it was a great cross from Pelembe, I must thank everyone on the pitch because we all work us a team,” Gaba said.

Mhango is enjoying a lively debut season for Bid Vits  and he has been scoring goals for fun in South Africa in all competitions.
