Premier Bet Wizards football club who are battling against relegation in the country’s TNM Super League say they will now reduce their reliance on experienced players as they have let the team down.
Technical director and owner of Wizards Peter Mponda said this when speaking to the media on Saturday after his club suffered a 2 nil loss at the hands of the country’s cup experts Mighty Be Forward Wanderers.
Mponda said his team needs to go back to their previous style which he described as nice and beautiful passing football which pleased the followers.
“You Journalists talk a lot of experienced players but how many experienced players have cost us as Premier Bet Wizards?
“As coaches we need to make some changes as we need to go back to our drawing board and what we used to do, play using young players for people to continue loving this team,” said Mponda.
The former National team defender further said in the remaining games he will make sure that his team collects maximum points so that they can be boosted as they are fighting relegation.
Wizards who are on position 14 with 19 points are only remaining with eight games , with five games to play as hosts while three matches are away from their backyard but ‘Mjojo’ Mponda said his side is not fearing any team.
Kamuzu Barracks, Mzuni FC, the league leaders Silver Strikers, Azam Tigers, struggling Dwangwa United, Moyale Barracks, Mafco FC, and Zomba based team Red Lions are all awaiting to face and Chilomoni based team Premier bet Wizards FC.

Mponda is an academy coach. He cant succeed as a coach in superleague. Let him give ng’onamo, ndawa or kananji the chance, the team will be rescued. Mponda is like mtawali. Maybe fam & sulom will favour them again.
Does Mponda want to tell us kuti his team isn’t doing well ‘coz of experienced players?
