Malawi Police officers in Ntchisi district are looking assailants who killed 40-year-old Evelesi Phiri.
The incident happened on the night of Wednesday, September 7 2016 at Ntchisi Trading Centre.
Police report indicate that the deceased who was a sex worker at Ntchisi Trading Centre was found murdered in her room by unknown criminals and the matter was reported to police by Harold Kalikiliki who is a barman at Mnjanja Bottle Store.
Police visited the scene of crime and took the deadbody to Ntchisi District Hospital mortuary pending postmortem.
Meanwhile, investigations are underway to arrest the culprits.
The deceased was from Mphomwa Village in the area of Traditional Authority Chulu in Kasungu.
