Kenya based Malawian producer and rapper Tanaposi says he will end locally based artists’ careers once he drops a new song

Tanaposi has been silent on the local music scene as he is currently in Kenya doing music investments. But he told Malawi24 that new projects and album will drop by the end of July.

“There’s plenty of projects and albums being released. Been taking over Kenya with studio businesses. But when my wish gets to y’all, game over! Careers will die,” said Tanaposi.

He also talked about the business side of the industry saying giving out music for free is why most artists fail to get monetary gains from their art.

“It’s business. My label and managers and lawyer wouldn’t want me leaking the projects content before release dates and schedules.

“Honestly am looking at Pan-Africa and young successful business oriented hustling artists who stretch out to reach big markets and put our heritage on the map,” he said.

The artist then mentioned Tay Grin, Barry, Gwamba, Lawi, and Bucci as some of the artist he has heard that are doing great things. He also revealed that he has worked with Third eye and D1 in the past.

On his protégé Slessor, Tanaposi said: “l see his success and creativity. Will do something more with him and HB Records when l come. Slessor, Cyclone, Nora and I archived our projects we did for exclusiveness.”
