Teenager rapes five year-old girl

Limbani Nyirenda, 18, is under Police custody for raping a 5 year-old girl at Zolozolo location within Mzuzu city.

According to Martin Bwanali who is Public Relations Officer for Mzuzu Police, the rapist who has so far admitted to the charge of defilement told the investigator in his caution statement that on 23rd May 2016 he went to the victim’s house to collect his money.

The suspect said the victim’s mother owed him K400 which was a balance for the meat she earlier took at his butchery.

But when he went to the woman’s house he found the little girl home alone.

He then dragged the child to an unfinished house where he sexually assaulted her.

Nyirenda hails from Jikito village T/A Mtwalo in Mzimba district.
