Malawian Journalist Ulemu Teputepu to be laid to rest Saturday

Malawian journalist Ulemu Teputepu who died on Saturday will be laid to rest on May 7 at his home village in Chiradzulu district.

Teputepu died at Tshwane Hospital in South Africa where he was based and will be buried at Ntapu Village, Traditional Authority (T/A) Likoswe in Chiradzulu.

According to his brother, Limbani Teputepu, he died after battling with lung failure and his remains are expected to jet in the country on Friday.

“Right now we are making arrangements so that we can send his body back home on Friday, and he will be buried at Ntapu village on Saturday,” said his brother.

Late Ulemu joined the media industry in 2003 and worked for Capital FM Radio before going to South Africa in 2011 for further studies and has been working as a correspondent for Times Live.

Born on December 23, 1981 at Kamuzu Central Hospital in the capital Lilongwe, Ulemu is survived by two children.
