Mighty Be Forward Wanderers interim coach Jack Africa Chamangwana is set to offload at least seven players today as he wants to have a squad of 25 players.
The former Flames player last week confirmed that he will be offloading some of his players in the Nomads camp on Monday.
“I will be releasing some of the players on Monday (today) after assessing them in friendly matches; I will give every player a chance so that I can assess them and decide which players I will be releasing,” said Chamangwana.
He added that some of the players that will be trimmed from the Nomads squad will have a chance to play for the team in the near future as he will loan them out to other Super League teams.
However, the Nomads coach two weeks ago said the five players who are with the Malawi National team will not be facing the chop because they are good players.
The five players who are with the Malawi national team are defenders Stanley Sanudi and Francis Mulimbika; midfielders Ernest Tambe and Isaac Kaliati; and striker Jabulani Linje.
This means that the remaining Nomads players who have been training with Wanderers will compete for the remaining 20 places in the squad.
The Nomads have so far played 4 friendly games and out of the 4 games they have lost 2 against Wizards and Malawi national team, and they have also registered 2 wins against Red Lions and Mafco fc.
