Devotion: Increase your ability

2Ki 4:5-6 ISV* “ So she left Elisha, shut the door behind her and her children, and while they kept on bringing vessels to her, she kept on pouring oil. When the last of the vessels had been filled, she told her son, “Bring me another pot!” But he replied, “There isn’t even one pot left.” Then the oil stopped flowing.”

The woman in the scripture was asked to bring many vessels by the prophet. As long as her vessels were empty, oil kept on flowing. When her capacity was full, the oil ceased.

God’s supply to your life is dependent on your capacity and ability to handle. The smaller the capacity the smaller the supply. You need to increase your ability and capacity to handle things to increase your supply.

Pastor Daniel Walusa. Increase your ability.

In Mat 25:26-29 BBE* “But his lord in answer said to him, You are a bad and unready servant; if you had knowledge that I get in grain where I did not put seed, and make profits for which I have done no work, Why, then, did you not put my money in the bank, and at my coming I would have got back what is mine with interest? Take away, then, his talent and give it to him who has the ten talents. For to everyone who has will be given, and he will have more: but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away.”

In the scripture above three servants were given different talents according to their ability or capacity.Mat 25:15 ISV* “To one man he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, based on their ability. Then he went on his trip.”

When the master was away, each of the servants were working on their ability or capacity. The one who was able to handle two talents was now able to handle four having added some two more to his capacity. The one with five talents was now able to handle ten having added some five more. The one who had ability to handle one talent lost his ability. He couldnt even handle one and hence did nothing with it. When coming back the Master took one talent away from the lazy servant and gave the one who had increased his capacity or ability.

What came out clear is that each time the two were using their talents, they were increasing their abilities. When we use what God gives us, when we practice and exercise with what we have, we increase the ability to handle more. When you go out to win one soul, you increase your capacity to win more. When you start business with the little money you have, you are building capacity for bigger business. When you start ministering to a small group of people, you build capacity for a bigger congregation. When you are faithful at work place while you hold a smaller position, you increase your capacity for a larger post. Everyday we need to work on our ability or capacity in handling affairs. Whether its in ministry, job, business or anything. We need to learn to multi task. We can do training, can practice, can read and do other things to increase the capacity.

Luk 16:10-11 KJV “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?.”

Confession
I am a faithful servant able to handle many talents. What ever my Master tells me to handle, I will never fail. I am increasing my capacity every day. In Jesus Name. Amen

  1. How does something that a scam-artist who wants to keep stealing from the weak-minded declares rate as news?
I am sure that garbage like that should be a crime yet those crooks,Daniel Walusa, among them never get to do prison time for their thefts. The Popes even got to steal two golden thrones as well as their own country and they are still free.
