Renowned comedian Michael Usi has advised President Peter Mutharika to have a sharp eye on people around him arguing that most leaders have proved to be failures because of their inner circle.

Usi was commenting on the social and economic hardships that have rocked the country.

The comedian urged Mutharika to have fresh blood in his administration to help in solving some challenges currently affecting the country.

“Malawi will remain a poor country because politics is a system and the current system needs to change, the president must sweep all those who are around him because they have proved to be failures,” said Ussi.

Earlier, People’s Party spokesperson Ken Msonda also warned Mutharika to be careful with people around him arguing that they might give him wrong information so that he should lose popularity.

Msonda added that they are the same people who are going for his position tomorrow so he must be very careful.

Mutharika’s vice, Saulosi Chilima was also all over the headlines having publicly warned his boss on people around him, which he labeled as ‘snakes’ at a rally in Ndirande, Blantyre earlier this year.
