Member of Parliament for Mulanje Central constituency Kondwani Nankhumwa has warned civil servants in the district over poor service delivery after residents complained about the government workers’ lack of effort in improving the people’s standard of living.
Expressing their concerns to the Member of Parliament, the Mulanje residents said that the government’s civil servants are failing to provide good services to the residents.
Responding to the complaint, Nankhumwa warned the civil servants that government will not sit down and watch them negatively affect people’s living standards.
“We are warning such civil servants to stop because government will not entertain such actions,” he said.
The local government and rural development minister, however, promised to implement more development projects in the area. He explained that the ruling party will continue developing the area and some parts of the district as one way of fulfilling its manifesto.
