…photo of Muluzi ‘engagement’ send tongues wagging

A photo on Facebook that shows former president Bakili Muluzi with a beautiful young lady admiring a ring on her finger has sent tongues wagging.

The photo which Malawi24 has seen creates an impression that Muluzi, a two time divorcee, was the one who put the ring on the finger of the young lady.

However Malawi24 has established that the former head of state is not the man that put the ring on the finger of the lady.

“Muluzi was just admiring the ring when the lady with her fiance paid a call on the former president, ” a source said.

Malawi24 has established that the couple, based overseas, decided to announce to Muluzi of their engagement and the photo was taken in the heat of Muluzi’s admiration.
