South African based battle-hardened striker, Esau Kanyenda, says he has intentions  to end his football career with Malawi champions Big Bullets, Malawi24 can report.

Kanyenda who plays for Polokwane City FC of South African premier soccer league, made the revelations to the press on Thursday.

The 33 year old whose contract with Polokwane ends at the end of season has said if his South African side does not have interest to extend his contract then he will head back home to play for the Super League Champions.

” If they extend my contract then I will stay but if they don’t then I will leave to finish off my career at Big Bullets in Malawi,”he told the Kickoff Magazine in South Africa.

Kanyenda who has scored13 goals in 54 appearances for the Malawi national football team has only one season to play before hanging up his boots.

“Right now I still think and feel of playing the game of soccer for another year’’ he remained optimistic.

He  retired from international football after featuring for the Flames in 2014 match against Ethiopia in a 2015 AFCON qualifier.

‘ Black Mamba’  as he is fondly known by the football fraternity, is one of the much celebrated foreign Strikers in South Africa, netting 43 goals in 93 starts during his time in South Africa.
