Malawi has once again been caught unaware! Reports reaching Malawi24 newsroom indicate that most parts of Blantyre have been flooded because of incessant rains leaving many properties damaged.

    1. Do you even know Blantyre? Those are pictures of Limbe just before pa hardware. Limbe is in Blantyre if you didn’t know. In case you are trying to get technical, a place is flooded when it is submerged in water and I dunno about your eyes but those cars are half way submerged.

Every construction project is supposed to be inspected by gvt inspectors, and unless you tell me otherwise, we still have a dpp gvt. As simple as that.

  25. Deep concerned about the victims but not surprised, I invite you to come for exemplo to kanengo in area 28 and look at the drains, all are blocked with rubish and city council do nothing about it.
    Last year we had a lot of property damaged because of that and this year more can be expected … if no action.

In any case, I think it was more significant to report about the devastating storm than the water flowing because of poor engineering in Limbe. The many houses that have had their roofs blown away, not washed away, should have been the center of the story. But I’m not a journalist anyway
