One of Malawi’s fast budding artists, Black Nina has accused Nepman of stealing his song “Chilawe Changachi” and including it in his album.

The artist says the song, which is famously known as “chilawe changachi”, is owned by him and Nepman was only featured.

In an interview with Malawi24, Black Nina whose real name is Thoko Masona said that Nepman included the song in his album without his permission.

”Nepman has included my song in his album without my permission. After I told him to remove it, he told me he will never do that, if I think I am worth it I can go anywhere to sue him,” said the up and coming artist.

However, Nepman’s manager Kabol Lombwe whose real name is Symon Kabolombwe Mkandawire said this is false. He said they agreed to include the song in Nepman’s album for promotional purposes.

“Black Nina told us to include his song in Nepman’s album for promotional purposes, I refused but he insisted then I gave it a go only for him to come back after we have already printed out the CDs asking us to remove his song because he want to put it in his album, but we spent alot of money preparing the CDs so we can not destroy them”

“That is when he said we should pay him and Nepman should be taking him everywhere he is perfoming,”said Nepman’s manager When asked to comment on Kabol’s remarks, Black Nina said they are lies.

“I never agreed with them to put my song in Nepman’s album, I just saw his Facebook post where he listed songs that are in Nepman’s album and my song was on number three,” he said.

Black Nina came into the limelight because of the same song and now he has said he will now work on other songs to prove his talent.
