Mlimbika, Thindwa to miss second Nomads final

Francis Mlimbika and Ishmael Thindwa will miss yet another vital match in Malawi’s Standard Bank cup final this coming Sunday despite recovering from their long-term injuries.

Nomads team manager Steve Madeira confirmed that the duo has recovered but they are not ready for selection this week in the Standard Bank Cup final.

“Thindwa and Mlimbika have now started training with the entire Nomads team but they will miss this year’s Standard Bank final as they are not yet ready for selection,” said Madeira.

Midfielder Raffiq Mussa will also miss the game against Civo as he is still nursing a knee injury.

Meanwhile, Wanderers coach Elia Kananji has today named a 20 man squad that will represent the Blantyre based giants in the final.
