Malawi Police in Mulanje district have arrested two men for allegedly stealing irrigation pipes and sprinklers belonging to Eastern Produce Tea Estate.
Malawi Police spokesperson Rhoda Manjolo has confirmed the development and has identified the two as Christopher Chiuzili 41 and Amos Kaleso 42.
According to information reaching Malawi24, the two were arrested following investigations that were carried out by the police in the district.
It is believed that police carried out some investigations following reports that irrigation pipes and sprinklers belonging to Eastern produce tea Estate were being stolen between the months of November last year and October this year.
Manjolo added that the two were arrested during the investigations and the stolen irrigation pipes and sprinklers were also recovered.
Chiuzili hails from Mwanamula village, T/A Nkanda in Mulange whereas Kaleso hails from Mphama village, T/A Nkanda in the same district of Mulanje.
