Bullets begin title defence away to TN Stars, Wanderers to host Mzuni

Nyasa Big Bullets will begin their title defence away to TN Stars of Kasungu on the opening weekend of the 2019 TNM Super League season set for April 14.

Super League of Malawi (Sulom) confirmed the fixture schedule for the new season, with the defending champions’ match against TN Stars being used to officially mark the opening of the 2019 campaign.

Bullets: have named squad for next season

The team’s two meetings last season saw Bullets take six points but the defending champions are likely to face a much changed side this time around.
Fifteen of the 16 Super League teams will be in action on Saturday and Sunday save for Ntopwa FC which has been exempted from the fixture list.

On Saturday, last season’s runners up Be Forward Wanderers will play host to Mzuni FC while Silver Strikers will begin their campaign with a tricky fixture in Karonga against Karonga United.

Masters Security will welcome Moyale Barracks at Dedza Stadium while Kamuzu Barracks will entertain Mighty Tigers at Civo Stadium.

On Sunday, newly promoted Mlatho Mponela will welcome Civil Sporting Club at Kasungu Stadium, with Blue Eagles hosting Moyale Barracks at Nankhaka and Chitipa United playing Silver Strikers at Karonga Stadium
