After conquering South Africa with the gospel, Malawian born multi-billionaire prophet Shepherd Bushiri has started planting Enlighten Christian Gathering (ECG) church branches in Nigera which is Africa’s most populous country.

ECG International Director of Communications Ephraim Nyondo says the Nigeria move is just an escalation of Prophet Bushiri’s vision of winning more souls to Jesus Christ.

“As you might be aware, the ministerial goal for 2019 is to ‘Double the Numbers’. To achieve this, the focus is to have more branches and strengthen them so that they do more outreach programmes involving evangelism and charity,” said Nyondo.

Apostle Shalom Mvula has been earmarked to lead the Lagos ECG branch with Pastor Blackmore presiding over the Port Harcourt branch.

“With already 178 branches across the six continents, the opening of new branches in Nigeria represents a giant step of the church which was only founded in 2010 by Prophet Shepherd Bushiri in the city of Mzuzu in Malawi” reads a statement published on the church’s site.

The ECG’s Communications Director also revealed that, Major 1, as Bushiri affectionately called, will not stop with Nigeria. Nyondo said ECG will open more branches in different countries across the world this year.

Last year, ECG announced that over two million seven hundred people became born again by giving their lives to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior last year when Prophet Bushiri’s embarked on his Global Prophetic Tour.
