Psalm 16:6 “The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Yes, beautiful is my inheritance.”
Each child of God has an inheritance. Every good parent has an inheritance for their children. A child does nothing to have the inheritance apart from being born in the family.
Our inheritance in Christ has nothing to do with what we do. It has everything to do with us being born again in the family of God. If you want to be a good parent you must leave some inheritance for children.
Don’t be among the parents who look to children for inheritance. It should be the other way round. God is a good dad and hence we have goodly inheritance.
Proverbs 13:22 “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored for the righteous.”
Pro 19:14 “House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the LORD.”
Once you turn from darkness to light, thus once you are born again you qualify yourself for the inheritance as a child of God. Act 26:18. “To open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in me.”
According to the scripture above, the inheritance is divided by lines. It’s specifically allocated to you. And it’s marked out in pleasant places. It’s a fair inheritance. You have been allocated the best place in Christ. There are best supplies marked for you. Best things specifically for you. BBE version says “Fair are the places marked out for me; I have a noble heritage.”
To have inheritance delivered to you, you must have the Word and act on it. It’s one thing to be marked in pleasant places and another thing to have the inheritance in your hands. Do and meditate the Word and have the inheritance in your hand. Act 20:32 “Now I entrust you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build up, and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.”
You can also access the inheritance by asking. God wants us to ask and He will supply. Psalm 2:8 “Ask of me, and I will give the nations for your inheritance, the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.”

We access the inheritance given to Abraham though Jesus Christ because it is through lineage of Christ that connects us to Abraham. Gal 3:18 “For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no more of promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by promise.”
This is the reason you should always go for the best. Look at heaven itself. It’s the best place to be. So even as we are on earth, refuse anything that is not the best. Get the best and not only the first. Some were the first to own a car or house in the city but today it’s the most dilapidated in the city. Don’t be proud of being the first but rather the best.
Although you have the inheritance, it is delivered unto us when we grow up. Even though you can have all things, as long as you remain immature, you will never enjoy what you have. Grow by the word of God and let the inheritance be delivered to you. Gal 4:1 “But I say that so long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a bondservant, though he is lord of all.”
[Psa 16:5-6] The LORD is the portion of my inheritance and my cup. You made my lot secure. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Yes, beautiful is my inheritance.
The lines for children of God. When you are born in the family, there is already your inheritance divided to you by lines. Gal 4:1
You have a pleasant places. That’s why you need to program your mind to pleasant. Adam and Eve are a representation of the original pan of God on man. A garden was made before they were formed. The lines are drawn before you were born. There is habitable and inhabitant places.*[[Pro 8:31]] NHEB* Rejoicing in his whole world. My delight was with the sons of men.”
Destination of man was garden. He found a spouse in the garden. If you get one outside the garden, it’s not pleasant.*[[Psa 106:23-24]] Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had Moses, his chosen, not stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, so that he wouldn’t destroy them. %v 24% Yes, they despised the pleasant land. They did not believe his word,”
*[[Jer 3:19]] NHEB* “But I said, ‘How I would put you among the children, and give you a pleasant land, the most beautiful inheritance of all the nations.’ and I said, ‘You shall call me “My Father,” and shall not turn away from following me.’
That’s why any thought in you should be pleasant. Phil4:8.

How do we access the inheritance
(1) Knowledge Luke 15/16 the prodigal son and his brother. If you don’t know, you toil in your own house. The Spirit helps us know the things that are given to us 1 Cor 2.John 8:32
Ephesians 1:18
(2) Ask. What you ask is what you get. Psalm2. Ask the actual dimensions of your inheritance.
(3) Don’t settle for the counterfeit. Each time when the actual is released, the counterfeit comes along. The devil tempted Jesus of nations. Ministry offers to nations.
(4) Grow up and demand.
As you grow up, you start discovering more. Enock discovered an inheritance. Moses was showed the ways of God Psalm 103:7
(5) Give. It will be given back to you. Abel. Luke 6:38
