Tnm Super League defending champions Mighty Be Forward are looking to offload at least three players including midfielder Joseph Kamwendo.
A Wanderers official who did not want to be named told Malawi24 that the club will release some players aged 30 and above at the end of the season.
“We sat down to look at the performance of our players and the assessment shows that the old aged players are not contributing much, so we agreed that all aged players will leave the club and others will be given certain tasks within the football club,” he said.
He mentioned Kanyenda, striker Esau Kanyenda and defender Harry Nyirenda as some of the players facing the chop.
The reports come a week after Kamwendo was involved in a fight with Wanderers team manager Steve Madeira during a game against Silver Strikers.
Kamwendo accused Madeira of influencing the coaches to substitute him.
At the moment, Wanderers are third in the Tnm Super League.
