The Malawi Government says it is making strides to make sure that young people in the country are being given a platform to express themselves.
This was said during the launch of strategic youth brainstorming session in Lilongwe.
Minister responsible for youth and manpower development Henry Mussa said there is need for government to include young people in everything it does.
“As government we have identified areas of need when it comes to youth development and one way of making sure that youths are heard is to have such brainstorming sessions,” said Mussa.
He added that youths can do lot in terms of agricultural activities and they are the ones to help in making sure that the country is developed.
According to Mussa, government will make sure that young people in the country are empowered through skills and that is why they brought in technical colleges.
Mussa also said that the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) government has taken youths in the country as its priority and it also providing young people with finances to help themselves in establishing small scale businesses.
