After successfully launching her movie in Malawi, one of the country’s committed and talented actresses Flora Suya has left for United States of America (USA) where the movie, My Mother’s Story, will be premiered at a film festival.
The film is among 40 movies that will be shown at Silicon Valley African Film Festival (SVAFF) from 14 to 16 of October.
Suya has managed to travel to the USA after help from a sponsor whose identity she could not disclose.
She is said to have submitted her movie through DHL after a friend shared her a link. In September this year she was emailed by organisers of the festival informing her that her work had been selected to be screened at the festival.
Suya who proved her skills in The Last Fishing Boat has since assured her fans that she will concentrate on both acting and film production.
