Four Nigerian players to join Maxi Bullets in Malawi

Malawi Super league struggling side MTV Maxi Bullets will be joined by four players from Nigeria, Malawi24 has learnt.

Maxi which finished bottom on the log in the first round of the TNM Super league with just 7 points from 15 games.

According to the team’s owner Max Kapanda, the four jet in Malawi through the Chileka Airport today.

Kapanda says the names of the players will be made available to the media when they arrive saying the names are ‘hard to pronounce’.

” We have finalised all required logistics for the players to be in Malawi. They will be here by this Friday. It has been hard for us to get players here in Malawi this is why we looked for professionals from Nigeria” Kapanda told the local media.

The team has since maintained that it will be able to pay the players.

According to Kapanda the four should feature in the team’s friendly against Be Forward Wanderers this Sunday at the Kamuzu Stadium.

The coming of the four means there will be five players from Nigeria playing in Malawi’s top tier after Be Forward Wanderer’s Amos Bello.
