Malawian actress Flora Suya has portrayed the struggle mothers go through in taking care of their children once their husbands are not beside them.
In a movie titled “My Mother’s Story”, Suya unveiled the suffering of mothers in taking care of children when their husbands are not with them either by death or divorce.
In the 90 minute movie, Suya took the character of maid “Tadala” showing a mother struggling to care for her children.
Patrons who watched the movie at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe, the storyline of the movie reflects the experience of most Malawian single mothers.
In her remarks, Suya said she was honoured to have great support from Malawians in her project.
“I’m happy with the response. It has been massive. It has been a product of dedication and hard work. I thank God for this great production,” Suya said.
The actress has in the past been featured in two popular movies, The Last Fishing Boat and Seasons of a Life.
But it wasn’t impressive.
