Mutharika donates cement to St Mark’s Anglican Church

Malawi President Peter Mutharika on Sunday attended a church service at St Mark’s Anglican in Mzuzu where he donated 100 bags of cement and 1 million Kwacha for the church construction project.

In his words, Mutharika commended the church for the job it is doing in the country.

He also commended Bishop Fanuel Magangani for the sermon well delivered during the church service. The bishop’s preaching bordered on the need for Malawians to unite for the development of the country.

Mutharika further said that the church and government should always work together as partners in developing the nation. He pledged his government’s   support to the Anglican Church and all churches in Malawi.

Right Reverend Fanuel Magangani who is the Bishop for Diocese of Northern Malawi highly appreciated the donation that the president made saying it will help a lot in building their church.

Mutharika has been in the north for the whole week and he carried out several activities such as the official opening of Reserve Bank of Malawi Mzuzu branch.

He also held rallies and cheered flood victims.
