A 32 year-old businessman in Bangwe has committed suicide over family issues.
According to Assistant Public Relations Officer for Southern Region police, Widson Nhlane, the deceased has been identified as Bickson Luphande who was selling vehicle spare parts.
“He was selling vehicle spare parts and he committed suicide in the early hours of 21 March,” said Nhlane.
He added that last year the deceased also took poison due to family problems but he survived.
But this time the deceased committed suicide by hanging himself to a mango tree.
Police have since urged the general public to report to police victim support unit if they have family problems rather than committing suicide.
The deceased hailed from Nsunda village T/A Bvumbwe in Thyolo district.
