The Blantyre High Court has now granted bail to two of the four suspected robbers, Chipiliro Gombwa and Dumisani Mvula on their serial charges which include murder and robbery.

Court granted the bail to the two after they pleaded not guilty to murder, robbery with violence and carjacking charges.

Police netted the two on 3rd January 2016 following tip offs through its Anti-Motor Theft branch.

Among other things, the law enforcers recovered a pistol and a gun pump with 260 live ammunitions.

But police had initially claimed that the two confirmed to have stolen Mazda Bongo and killed the owner in the process.

They also confessed to have stolen Toyota Hirux (double cabin) that belonged to Malawi Telecommunications Limited (MTL) and killing the driver, Geoffrey Msichi- who was an ex-policeman.

Dumisani is , son to renowned political and social commentator Humphrey Mvula while Chipiliro is a relation to owner of Chitawira Hospital, according to reports.
