Responding to the complaint, Nankhumwa warned the civil servants that government will not sit down and watch them negatively affect people’s living standards.

“We are warning such civil servants to stop because government will not entertain such actions,” he said.

The local government and rural development minister, however, promised to implement more development projects in the area. He explained that the ruling party will continue developing the area and some parts of the district as one way of fulfilling its manifesto.

The minister also donated some items to the people of Mulanje central constituency and among the items was starter pack fertilizer.
