His team  faces Civo Service United in their final Super League match at Civo Stadium on Sunday afternoon. His competitor, Bokosi, wrapped up the season on Thursday when he failed to find the back of the net but Msowoya is unfazed as he looking forward to claim the golden boot award.

Speaking to Malawi24 on Thursday, the former Orlando Pirates and Escom United forward said he will not play under pressure despite being a goal short of Bokosi’s tally.

“It won’t be an individual brilliance but rather, a team success. We want to set our own record of winning the title with 66 points. I won’t be under pressure and I will make sure to deliver for the team and not for my own personal glory,” he said.

The lethal forward has had a memorable record at Civo Stadium where he won a golden boot during his Escom United days and will be hoping to do the same on Sunday.

“I did it once at the same venue when I was with Escom United and I am hoping to do the same on Sunday,” he concluded.

Winning the golden boot will be an icing on the cake for the forward who is heavily linked with a move to a South African side Golden Arrows.
