United Democratic Front (UDF) vice President Iqbar Omar has challenged the party’s executive decision to chop him from the party.

The UDF executive announced that they have axed Omar from committee on allegations that he has been behind some faction that has parallel party structure the current leadership.

Speaking to members of the press in Lilongwe, Omar has challenged the executive saying he is not stepping down as vice President.

“They are saying that they have expelled me from party without calling me to a disciplinary meeting am challenging them that they should bring evidence if whatever they say is true,” said Omar.

Omar further condemned UDF President Atupele Muluzi s for joining government side for his personal benefits.

The vice President also advised Muluzi to follow the leadership style of his father Bacilli Mules.
