It has been confirmed to Malawi24 that as of Tuesday, students at Chitheche community day secondary school were yet to know how they have fared in the just released Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) exams as the exam body still holds them over dues the students are yet to settle.

This has made students to be in dilemma because they are not sure of how they have performed for them to hatch their next academic plans.

One teacher at the school who spoke to this paper on Monday said the problem has greatly affected their operations.

Some students also told this publication that they are not aware on the cause of such a fate citing they deserve to know their scores so that they plan what they will do.

“If we have failed its good for us to know earlier so that we repeat in time,” fumed one student.

Preliminary findings by our reporter indicate that the school owes MANEB close to MK52, 685 thus the holding of such results.

However it still remains blurring as to what happened for the school to fail paying such an amount because students maintain they paid examination fees in full.

Some officials within MANEB confirmed the issue citing the school has some balances it must settle to MANEB if their results are to be released.

However frequent efforts to get views from publicist of the same proved impossible due to poor phone lines.
