MANEB results reportedly surface online before official release

Some candidates have reportedly accessed their 2026 Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) and Junior Certificate of Education (JCE) results online ahead of the official release by the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB).

Unconfirmed reports, which Malawi24 could not independently verify, indicate that MANEB was scheduled to officially release the results on Friday afternoon at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.

However, screenshots being shared online appear to show that some candidates have already been able to view their results through the MANEB website.

This is not the first time examination results have reportedly become accessible online before the official announcement, raising questions about the security and timing of the release of examination results.

The development comes as thousands of candidates and parents await the official announcement of the national examination results.

A total of 166,652 candidates sat for the 2026 JCE examinations, including 85,683 females and 80,969 males.

For the PSLCE examinations, 255,070 candidates sat for the examinations, comprising 132,773 females and 122,297 males.
