Malawi National Football Team Coach Meck Mwase has named a 24-member squad ahead of the back-to-back 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifiers against Ivory Coast.
The Flames who recently thrashed Mozambique 1- 0 through Richard Mbulu’s goal, will host Ivory Coast at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa on 8th October before the two teams clash again in Benin three days later.
The Malawi national football team which is currently on third position in group D with three points, has an uphill task to thump the west African giants who are currently topping the group with four points, in order to revive their chances in the competition.
The Flames are in group D alongside Cameroon, lvory cost, and Mozambique.
In his 23-member squad, Flames coach Meck Mwase has made two changes to the team that played Cameroon and Mozambique earlier last month, by bringing in Duncan Nyoni and Nickson Mwase, replacing Bullets duo Chimwemwe Idana and Nixon Nyasulu respectively.
