Miss Blantyre pre-party bash tonight
With just a week away to the golden beauty pageant Miss Blantyre 2016, all roads tonight will lead to the Basement in Blantyre where there will be a bash.
The curtainraiser for the 4th November Pageant kicks off at exactly 9PM till the break of dawn. It will attract entertainment activities so as to give patrons an appetiser of the main event scheduled for Comesa Hall next week Friday.
The bash will provide an opportunity to patrons to meet and interact with the organising team as well as final contestants. All in all, the essence of tonight’s experience is to provide people with an appetiser.
Miss Blantyre Chairman Daniel Ngwira said there will be a fusion of Urban Music, Rap battles, Dancing competitions, Catwalk challenge and of course a disco to light up the night.
“Since we started our preparations, our patrons have probably only seen the finalists on social media and television. We will use this event as the first public platform to interact with our fans. We believe as role models, our contestants should prepare to meet people in various places and demonstrate class and integrity,” said Ngwira
On the night, up and coming Afro-pop Artist Lcee, real name Light Chiwanda will be launching the 2016 Miss Blantyre theme song titled Miss Blantyre Moto.
When asked about his preparation, Lcee said he takes this as a rare privilege to perform in front of such a huge audience and would like to use his act to push messages of positivity about the girl child, a vital fact that aligns with the Miss Blantyre theme; keeping the Girl Child in School. Apart from Lcee, there will also be other urban artists performing in spicing up the night.
