Karonga United goalkeeper Chimwemwe Kasambara has joined Northern Region Football League side Zolozolo United.
Kasambara was part of Karonga United squad in the first round of the current Super League season but has been training with the lower league side for almost two weeks now.
Speaking to the media, Kasambara said he wants to keep fit since Karonga United dropped him for no reasons.
But a Karonga United official said they cannot comment on whether the player will make a permanent move and claimed that only Kasambara is in a position to comment.
During his time at Karonga United, the goalkeeper rarely featured as he was usually left out of the club’s match day squads.
However, he has played at a lower league side before as he was part of the Chilumba Barracks side which won the Simama League last season. He joined Karonga United after Chilumba were barred by their sponsors from going to the Super League.
