Chiukepo Msowoya came from the bench to help Nyasa Big Bullets advance to the Carlsberg Cup round of 16 after beating Master Security 5 nil on Wednesday afternoon in Blantyre.

Despite Bullets making a few changes to the team that beat Silver Strikers 2-1 on Sunday afternoon at the same venue, the 2015 Super League champions displayed excellent football from the word go and proved too much for the visitors.

Two minutes after the half hour mark, Nyasa Big Bullets coach introduced Chiukepo Msowoya after substituting Nikiza Imable who was not ticking for Bullets in the first half.

Soon after being introduced into the game, Chiukepo Msowoya put Bullets ahead on the 38th minute of the first half after beating Master Security goalkeeper and it was 1-nil in favour of Nyasa Big Bullets.

Come second half, both Master Security and Nyasa Big Bullets came in with fresh ideas as they were all in search for goals.

But it was Nyasa Big Bullets who found a goal as they doubled their lead through Kondwani Kumwenda before Emmanuel Zoya scored the side’s third of the afternoon.

Few minutes later Fischer Kondowe scored Bullets’ fourth before Chiukepo Msowoya completed his brace after he received a through ball from Mike Mkwate who was also a marvel to watch.

After the final whistle it was 5 – 0 in favour of the 2015 Super League champions, Nyasa Big Bullets.

Speaking to the media after the game, Nyasa Big Bullets coach Franco Ndawa thanked God for helping his team advance to the round of 16.

In other Carlsberg Cup game that were played in Lilongwe Silver Strikers advanced to the round of 16 after beating Civo United 1 nil with Mathews Sibale scoring the only goal of the match.
