There is no clear frontrunner in this season’s race for Malawi’s TNM Super League golden boot award as two players are tied on goals with three games to wind up the first round of the 2016 season.

Nyasa Big Bullets’ Chiukepo Msowoya and Mafco F.C striker Richard Mbulu are now locked together on 9 goals in this year’s chase for the golden boot award.

Be Forward Wanderers striker Peter Wadabwa is third after netting 7 goals in the league.

Chiukepo scored his ninth goal of the season in Nyasa Big Bullets’ 2-1 win over Silver Strikers at Kamuzu stadium in Blantyre on Sunday afternoon.

The Flames hit man finished the 2015 Super League season as the joint top goalscorer together with Red Lions goal scoring machine Innocent Bokosi.

Now the 29-year old is close to achieving more individual honours ahead of his rivals in Malawi’s top flight league.
