Martin Martse Nkhata continues to make headlines for negative reasons following a new wave of verbal attacks on him.

The Lilongwe based artist was quoted Monday night on MBC Radio 2 as mocking up and coming rappers due to their failure to beat his scandals in terms of popularity.

The remarks have not gone well with music loving Malawians as they have launched missiles on the celebrity in response. People have used all sorts of social media platforms to condemn the Mwano hit-maker over what they term uncalled for remarks.

However, Martse does not seem to pay attention after two days and hours have passed without his word on the matter.

Some are demanding an apology from him if they are to continue being in good books whereas others do not mind as long as they have avenged with strong language.

The rapper has been attacked for releasing hit songs out of other people’s sweat.

People have cited Billy Kaunda’s Mwapindulanji, the late Matafale’s Malawi, and go deeper which emanated from Culture’s I try, as other artists’ products he took advantage of so as to survive.

According urban music lovers, Martse has turned out to be the most controversial figure in local showbiz.

Just in 2016, he has been involved in a fight at Natural Resources College where he is a fourth year student, has endorsed his friends Gwamba and Krayzie G as Malawi’s finest rappers and has taken a jab on up and coming rappers.

But a few people have defended him arguing that everybody has got freedom of expression.

Peter Mapunde who is one of Martse’s fanatics does not seem to find any fault in the rapper’s words, he said it is good for Malawian celebrities to be speaking out their minds as that is the only way people can get the truth from them.
