Their wish is to take Islamic Swagg as a style to greater heights so as to affirm that members Islam are not prisoners of their beliefs.

Besides having their voices in the song, Misso and Blista co-produced it under the record label Malawi Rap Battle (MRB), which is little by little gaining momentum on the local scene.

Misso hopes to follow up his successful audio production with equally creative visuals.

In an interview with Malawi24, Amuna Misso admitted to not being a Muslim but his love for Islamic vibe drives him towards the style.

He said: “I am not a Muslim but I just love the vibe of Islam. Imagine Muslims dabbing in those robes, it’s something swagalicious.”

The gravity of creativity in Islamic swagg makes it a must download song on Malawimusic.com.

Although fusion of different music genres with hip-hop is not alien to Malawi, the merging of styles in this hit calls for a palms hurting clap.

Born Samson Chitsamba, the Malawi Institute of Journalism (MIJ) student tied a note with hip-hop when he was still in preliminary stages of secondary education. Therefore his latest project is enough a yardstick to measure the talent bestowed upon him.

On the local scene he admires Young Kay while internationally Hopsin is his idol.

The up and coming rapper follows in the footsteps of Tay-Grin and Black Falcon Bird (BFB) in introducing a unique style of hip-hop through fusion of different genres.
