…Over 90 percent of British people want David Cameron to quit

People in the UK are calling on their Prime Minister, David Cameron, to resign after Panama Papers revealed that his father set up an offshore trust in Panama with the aim of evading tax in Britain.

Cameron had initially said the issue was a private matter for his family but only admitted to have directly profited from the company after three days of public pressure.

The hashtag #ResignCameron was trending as of press time with renowned whistleblower Edward Snowden urging the British public to take to the streets. He suggested the outrage at Mr Cameron’s admission that he profited from tax evasion could spark the same kind of protests that forced Icelandic PM to quit.

Meanwhile a protest has been organized for Saturday at Downing Street, the official office for the Premier. But the British government has gone full throttle on propaganda to back Cameron.

However, MP for main opposition, the Labour party, John Mann, has said Cameron has no choice but to resign. The MP also accused Cameron of dishonesty.

Labour Deputy Leader Tom Watson told the media that Cameron  should consider quitting and paying back the money to the Exchequer.

A survey carried by British newspaper, the Daily Mirror, on it’s website  show that 94 percent of people are backing calls for Cameron to throw in the towel. Celebrities have also joined joined people calling for Mr. Cameron to resign

Panama Papers refer to leaked documents from Mossack Fonseca, a law film based in Panama. The documents reveal offshore activities by global leaders, sports personalities and other big businesses to evade tax.
