The Midima senior resident magistrate court has sentenced three people to 10 years imprisonment with hard labour each for burglary and theft.
Police have identified the three as Petrol Sanena, 27, Charles Matabwa, 25 and Frank Charles, 25.
According to assistant public relations Officer for Limbe police Widson Nhlane, the three suspects broke into a house of a certain family in Chigumula.
He said the men stole two television screens, two DVD players, one electrical fan, a Samsung S4 phone, assorted foodstuffs and assorted bottles of cosmetics all worth K1.2 million.

In court, the three pleaded with the magistrate to exercise leniency when passing judgement because they have family members who look up to them.
But the state prosecutor said this was a serious offence and they deserved a stiffer punishments to deter others from committing the same offence.
