Chilima: Under heavy criticism.

One of the opposition parties in the country People’s Party (PP) has asked vice president Saulos Chilima to apologize for calling experts in the country ‘idiots’.

Chilima made the remarks at Malawi Law Society annual conference where he criticized some experts saying they comment on things they do not understand and in the end confuse Malawians

But PP spokesperson Ken Msonda has asked the vice president to apologize for calling the experts idiots.

”It is disappointing that the vice president uttered that word, it is not a good statement coming from a vice president,” said Msonda.

He added that the experts are citizens of the country and have the right to express their opinion.

”Experts speak for voiceless Malawians and they help in directing the country for the betterment of its people,” he said.

Msonda further said that what the vice president said is not a slip of a tongue hence it is very unfortunate that the veep said such words.
