Up to 35 people have been arrested in line with the recent dispute that saw the torching of South Lunzu Magistrate court in Blantyre, Police say.
Last week, irate locals in Machinjiri township burnt the court after suspecting that police had brought to court people arrested in connection to the murder of a man in Machinjiiri who had part of his body skinned.
The mob overpowered the police officers before setting ablaze the court, destroying almost everything in the building.
Blantyre Police Spokesperson Elizabeth Divala says the suspects are currently being kept at Chichiri Prison.
Divala said the 35 people will answer Arson charges.
