The Word Prevails

Acts 19:18-20 “And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds.   Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver.   So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed..”

The Word of God has power to prevail over every situation. Whether the situation looks impossible or not, whether the sickness has a cure or not, we need to use the Word of God to prevail over the situation. However we need to grow the Word in us.

In the scripture above, what Paul was doing in Ephesus was to teach and speak the Word. As he was doing this magicians would surrender on their own. Witchcraft was defeated. Wickedness was defeated because of the Word. Word is powerful.

Psalm 138:2 ” I will worship toward your holy temple, and praise your name for your loving kindness and for your truth: for you have magnified your word above all your name.”

The Word of God is exalted above every name whether in heaven or earth. The name of anything is below the Word. The Word is magnified and has more power than every name you can mention or think of. Cancer, TB, poverty, failure, unemployment are some of the names.

These are below the Word.

If you have the Word and you produce it by speaking it, and doing it, you can prevail over everything. If there are wicked people around you, they will come and confess and surrender because of the Word. It happened in the time of Paul and it will happen to you. Never hate those who practice magic, use the Word and they will surrender in day light.

 

In Mark 4, the midst of storms Jesus knew exactly what to do. He spoke the Word and He prevailed over the storms and the disciples were astonished. Mark 4:39 “And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”

What situation do you want to change in your life. Find and grow in you the suitable Word. Grow and grow and release it every day and it will prevail over the situation. Don’t give up. The Word in you is above the name of everything you want to change.

Confession

I have the Word in me. I prevail over every situation. As I grow in the Word, there is nothing that can overcome me. I am more than a conqueror. In Jesus Name. Amen
