A 41-year-old man has hanged himself to death in Nkhotakota after suspecting his wife of seeing another man.
Dick Penama committed suicide at Tadwe village in the district.
According to Nkhotakota police deputy spokesperson Paul Malimwe, the man was married and had two wives. 
“However, he was suspecting his first wife of having an extramarital affair. On November 09, 2018, he left a message that people have seen him for the last time,” he said.
The first wife and a community member later started looking for Penama. They found his body hanging to a tree in a bush near his home.
The matter was reported to police and scene of crime was visited.
Postmortem conducted revealed that death was due to suffocation secondary to strangulation.
Meanwhile, police are appealing to the general public to channel their problems to relevant organisations rather taking their own lives.
The deceased Dick Penama hailed from Tadwe village in the area of senior chief Malengachanzi in Nkhotakota.
